About MARCO POLO

The project idea is to foster the interregional and international cooperation of Southern Asian universities through the design and implementation of a plan that will contribute to: modernise the International Relations Offices of participating countries; promote an international network of cooperation among universities; strengthen knowledge sharing on teaching, learning and researching matters; designing an innovative interregional and International mobility framework for students, academics, researchers and University staff

To improve the capacity for international cooperation of Higher Education Institutions in partner countries by modernising their International Relations Offices, through the potential of Teaching, Learning and Research at all countries involved in the project. This will be carried out through a pilot test with project partners in which they will identify and adopt good practices and also develop national recommendations. Internationalisation will be reinforced through the creation of a cooperation network for the participating Higher Education Institutions, which will be complemented by the accession of other European and Asian universities. The project will also create a prototype mobility framework.
